About the Role
Job Duties
Maintain and update accurate standard costs in the company ERP system.
Become the in-house expert on the Inventory Module in ERP; understand valuation, cost of sales, and inventory quantity flows.
Ensure proper application of inventory reserve policies across all sites.
Enforce accounting policies in accordance with GAAP/IFRS for inventory related accounts.
Respond to audit requests regarding inventory valuation and costing.
Periodically review and update standard labor and burden rates.
Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, including ad-hoc projects on inventory valuation and contribution margin by verticals and product groups.
Coordinate monthly financial analysis presentations for operations leadership.
Prepare financial reports for key stakeholders (Board of Directors, Lenders, etc.).
Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvements in reporting, budgeting, and analysis processes.
Conduct ad-hoc special projects to assist management in understanding business performance/processes.
Job Requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance.
Strong understanding of costing and valuation of inventory in a manufacturing environment.
High-level Excel skills, including formulas, shortcuts, and data analysis.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to solve complex problems.
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
